Sampling & Lead Time
An adhesive tape that has not been tested in your process is an unknown. We therefore treat sampling as part of the quotation, not as a favour after it — and we ask for the details that make the sample representative of the production tape.
Delivery schedules depend on the construction, the order quantity and current line loading, so we confirm the schedule in writing with the quotation rather than publishing a blanket lead time.
What we send with a sample
| Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Sample roll or piece | To run on your actual process, in the width and format you will use |
| Technical datasheet | So your engineering team can compare the construction against the requirement |
| Key test data | Thickness, adhesion and, where relevant, temperature and dielectric data |
| Lot reference | So the sample can be traced when you move to production |
What we need for an accurate sample and schedule
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Application and substrate | Adhesion and residue behaviour depend on both |
| Operating temperature | Continuous, not only the peak |
| Thickness and width | So the sample matches the final construction |
| Any performance standard | Abrasion class, flame rating, VOC limit or insulation class |
| Target delivery date | So we can confirm a schedule instead of quoting a generic lead time |
| Destination and shipping terms | So the quotation is complete and comparable |
Sampling and ordering questions
How fast can you quote?
Standard enquiries are answered within one working day. If your requirement needs a construction recommendation, we may come back with one or two questions first.
Can you produce to our drawing?
Yes. Send the drawing or specification and we will confirm the construction, tolerances and finished format.
Do you supply in roll or die-cut form?
Both. Rolls, logs, die-cut pieces and sheeted formats are converted on site.
What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the construction and the finished width. Tell us the tape and the quantity you expect and we will confirm in the quotation.
Talk to a tape engineer
Send us the application, the operating temperature and the base material you have in mind. We will come back with a recommended construction, a datasheet and a quotation within one working day.
