Quality Control
Quality control in tape manufacturing is mostly about the boring things done consistently: incoming base material checks, coating weight control, and a defined inspection plan at the end of the line. Our system is certified to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
The practical question for a buyer is what documentation reaches you. Every shipment can be backed by batch test records that map back to the base material and adhesive lots.
Inspection plan
| Stage | Checks | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming material | Base material thickness and appearance, adhesive identification, certificates from suppliers | Incoming inspection record |
| In-process | Coating weight, drying temperature, web tension, visual defects | Process record per production lot |
| Final inspection | Total thickness, peel adhesion, tensile strength, elongation, appearance and roll geometry | Batch test report |
| Special tests | Breakdown voltage, flame behaviour, temperature performance where the construction calls for them | Reported on request |
| Packing check | Roll count, labelling, carton marking, pallet condition | Packing list and shipping marks |
Traceability
| Question | How we can answer it |
|---|---|
| Which base material lot is in this roll? | The lot number on the label maps back to the incoming material record. |
| Which adhesive batch was used? | Recorded per production lot against the coating record. |
| What were the measured values? | Thickness, peel adhesion, tensile and elongation are recorded per lot and reported on request. |
| What if a roll fails your incoming inspection? | Contact us with the lot number and the measured result and we will investigate against the production record. |
