R1005 PET Non-woven (Fleece) Wire Harness Tape
Overview
Wire harness tape in a soft PET non-woven (fleece) construction, coated with a high-performance synthetic rubber-based hot-melt adhesive. The fleece conforms to irregular shapes and dampens noise, which is why it is used for harness branches in vehicle interiors and engine compartments. This product uses high-quality PET non-woven fabric as the base material. It has a soft texture, smooth conformability and can be torn by hand; the adhesive layer uses a high-grade acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive for temperature, oil and ageing resistance, and meets low-odour and low-VOC requirements.

Automotive wire tape where conformity matters
Fleece Tape is the soft option in an automotive wire tape programme. Where a run passes through a grommet, a clip or a tight radius, the non-woven backing deforms instead of lifting at the edges, so the wrap stays closed. That is also why it is used as automotive harness tape in door and cabin runs where rattle has to be designed out rather than fixed later.
Fleece wire harness tape: common questions
When should I use Fleece Tape instead of a cloth wire harness tape?
Where the surface is irregular or the radius is tight. Cloth tape gives more abrasion protection; fleece tape conforms better and dampens noise.
