OEM & ODM Custom Tape

Most of our export orders are not catalogue items. A customer has a requirement — a thickness that fits an existing gap, an adhesion window for a difficult substrate, a width their dispenser handles — and we build the tape to it.

Because coating and converting are on the same site, customisation does not mean a separate supply chain. The pilot batch and the mass-production batch come off the same equipment.

How a custom order runs

StepWhat happensWhat we need from you
1. RequirementWe review your application, substrate and temperature range.Application, substrate, temperature, thickness and width
2. RecommendationWe propose a construction and confirm feasibility.Your target performance standard, if you have one
3. SampleWe produce and ship a sample for your evaluation.Delivery address and the test you will run
4. ApprovalYou approve the sample; we freeze the specification.Written confirmation of the frozen specification
5. ProductionMass production against the frozen specification, with lot records.Order quantity, delivery schedule, shipping terms
6. Follow-upBatch test reports and after-sales support.Feedback from your incoming inspection

Why buy from the tape manufacturer instead of a supplier

Most tape buyers end up at a trading company without knowing it, and only find out when a specification drifts between batches. Chengrun Tape manufactures on its own lines, so the construction you approve is the construction you receive — and if a parameter needs to change, we tell you before the next order rather than after it.

For OEM and ODM projects that means custom base material, adhesive, thickness, width, core and packaging to your drawing, produced by the tape manufacturer that signs the datasheet. For buyers sourcing against a competitor’s part number, it means we can quote a like-for-like construction and let you compare on data rather than on price alone.
